Description: This cultured hybrid is being cultivated in botanical gardens due to its propensity to flower, but is, quite inexplicably, only occasionally commercially available. The rapid propagation through adventitious plants on the leaf bases, which also occurs regularly in strong submersed leaf blades, make this hybrid a recommendable aquarium plant. For optimum growth, the hybrid requires a nutritious substrate, high light intensity and warmth (optimum temperature over 25 °C). Soft or medium-hard water, with pH-values in the acid to neutral range, is recommended. A regular additional supply of iron fertilizer, as well as CO
2 will also have a positive effect. Floating leaves are to be regularly removed.
