Description: The Vaterifloris Rasbora, also known as the Orange-Finned Barb or Singhalese Fire Rasbora, is a fish for the specialist. The male of this species is smaller than the female and tends to be more colorful.

Rasbora vaterifloris requires a well established planted aquarium with superior water quality and stable water conditions. This species is compatible with other peaceful fish as well as others of its own species.

The Rasbora vaterifloris requires a warm, densely-planted breeding tank in order to spawn. After spawning, the water level should be reduced to around six inches. After the eggs hatch, usually in 36 hours, the fry will require live foods such as newly-hatched brine shrimp.
